James Simon, CPA, CFP®
James is the Founder and President of Renew Wealth Management, a boutique advisory firm serving the Washington, DC metropolitan area. He brings more than 18 years of experience in comprehensive wealth management, with expertise spanning tax strategy, investment management, retirement planning, and multi-generational wealth planning.
He holds CPA and CFP® credentials and is a CFA Level III candidate. Previously, James served for a decade as Vice President and Financial Consultant at Charles Schwab and has held senior financial planning roles advising ultra-high-net-worth families.
An Iraq War veteran with more than 20 years of military service, James currently serves as an Army Reserve Operations Officer assigned to the White House Military Office. He earned graduate degrees from Harvard University and the College for Financial Planning, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida.
James serves on the Board of Directors of the American Board of First Responder Behavioral Healthcare, supporting its mission to strengthen governance, fiscal stewardship, and organizational accountability across national responder behavioral health systems.
