Navigating Systems: EAP, OWCP, Return-to-Duty, and Leadership Interfaces
Working within or alongside public safety agencies requires familiarity with the systems that govern wellness, accountability, and recovery. This course introduces practitioners to Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), the Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs (OWCP), and return-to-duty protocols. Participants learn how these systems intersect with clinical services and how to advocate effectively for responders navigating them. Special focus is given to leadership consultation—helping practitioners communicate recommendations in ways that respect both confidentiality and organizational policy.
