Chapter 6
IN THIS LESSON
Crisis Leadership and Organizational Culture
Organizational culture directly affects how responders experience and respond to stress. This domain explores the connection between leadership styles, communication, and workplace morale. Practitioners learn how to consult with leaders, influence policy development, and help agencies build psychologically safe environments. Topics include change management, trauma-informed leadership, and crisis decision-making. This goal is to prepare clinicians to support both individual responders and the systems they operate within.
